OUR STORY

The Ginger Chef Sauce Company LLC was officially established in Comstock Park, Michigan, by

mother-daughter co-owners Susan Glass and Jennifer Grawburg. With a shared passion for food, entrepreneurship, and community impact, Susan and Jennifer bring together decades of combined experience in banking, culinary management, and food service operations. The business was formed

to bring their signature sauce, Midwest Nectar, to market after years of careful refinement and overwhelmingly positive public response.


The inspiration for the company began with a cherished family recipe passed down through

generations, dating back nearly 150 years to ancestors in Nebraska and South Dakota. Over the

past 15 years, Susan and Jennifer have worked side by side to modernize and perfect the recipe

while preserving its nostalgic Midwestern roots and flavor.


For the past three years, they have proudly served Midwest Nectar to U.S. military veterans during

weekly Michigan fly fishing trips through the nonprofit Project Healing Waters. The veterans’

enthusiastic feedback and consistent requests to purchase the sauce were a turning point, inspiring

Susan and Jennifer to pursue full-scale production and commercialization.
